We're looking for talented Civil Engineers to join our team at two levels: Staff Engineer OR Senior Staff Engineer.

Staff Engineer: $81,926 - $118,792.

Senior Staff Engineer: $88,316-$132,474.

Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm.

Applicants are encouraged to apply by Monday, August 17th; however, the job will be posted until filled.

Responsibilities (common to both roles)
  • Act as a trusted advisor for consulting engineers, contractors, the community, and other agencies involved in development projects.
  • Leverage your expertise in civil engineering and design to review improvements and reports related to:
    • Drainage & Stormwater Management
    • Trails & Bridges
    • Traffic Flow, Streets & Subdivision Planning
    • Zoning Regulations & Construction Standards
  • Provide insightful feedback and ensure projects comply with all necessary requirements.
  • Work independently with appreciable latitude for judgment and take initiative to achieve project goals.
  • Be a team player, collaborating effectively during meetings and conferences, including occasional evening sessions.
Senior Staff Engineer (additional responsibilities)
  • Lead and manage development projects from conception to completion.
  • Oversee project design, ensuring it meets technical requirements and adheres to budget constraints.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.

Qualifications (both positions)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong understanding of the development review process
  • Solid knowledge of civil engineering principles and design practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with various stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Additional Qualifications for Senior Staff Engineer
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado is required (or PE licensure in another US State with the ability to gain Colorado licensure within 6 months of hire.
  • A minimum of 7 years of increasingly responsible experience in Engineering is preferred.
