Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Program Manager (transition and consolidation and relocation) for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Rutherford, NJ.
Responsibilities :
  • Will be the strategic driver and operational executor for the multi-year Cash Service Center (CSC) transition and consolidation initiatives.
  • Own end-to-end project delivery for the most complex and consequential transformation in the Bank's cash operations history, ensuring seamless execution across construction, technology deployment, workforce transition, and business continuity.
  • Drive decisions, resolve conflicts, manage interdependencies across three concurrent System initiatives, and ensure the Second District successfully navigates this pivotal transformation while maintaining its critical role in the firm's System.
  • Support continuing operations and business transformation.
  • Strategic Project Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive, integrated project plans spanning construction timelines and automated systems (e.g. Dematic)
    • Develop and administer comprehensive project plans to include but not limited to scope, timelines, milestones, and success criteria for CSC transition initiatives
    • Translate complex, interdependent System initiatives into executable workstreams with clear accountability and measurable outcomes
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with business leaders across Cash Operations, Corporate Real Estate, FedCash Services, Information Technology, and 1st District leadership
    • Navigate System-level governance structures; influence decision-making across Districts and service partners to ensure Second District priorities are appropriately balanced with broader System objectives
    • Manage third-party vendor relationships including construction partners, automation providers, armored carriers, and specialized consultants
    • Serve as the primary interface between operational teams and senior leadership, translating technical complexities into strategic insights
  • Progress Monitoring:
    • Track project deliverables across multiple business lines to include construction schedule against established timelines; synthesize performance metrics and develop actionable insights for course correction. Surface any critical path issues to business leadership to ensure the project stays on target or business operations are appropriately adjusted.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Facilitate clear communication to further collaboration across multiple teams and functions to ensure seamless integration and mirrored timelines during split operations and facility transition
  • Change Management:
    • Support organizational change efforts; communicate project impacts and influence adoption at operational and strategic levels
  • Governance & Reporting:
    • Conduct regular briefings with managers and senior stakeholders; maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with established governance frameworks
  • Risk & Issue Management:
    • Proactively identify, document, assess, communicate, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans and ensure appropriate communication mechanisms are in place, including the escalation of critical issues appropriately
  • Resource Management:
    • Coordinate project resources (as needed) and budget monitoring to ensure efficient delivery
Required Skills:
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven track record managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation through closure, preferably involving technical facility transitions, infrastructure projects, or business transformations
  • Critical Operations Experience: Demonstrated experience in mission-critical environments, ideally within regulated, complex organizations; manufacturing, logistics, or financial services operations a plus
  • Multi-Project Leadership: Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing demands and interdependencies
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellence in building relationships with diverse set of leadership and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, from operational teams to senior leadership to deliver the best outcomes for the Cash Business
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Ability to structure and distill complex, ambiguous situations into clear insights, solutions, and actionable recommendations
  • Analytical Capabilities: Strong financial/quantitative analysis skills; ability to develop and interpret performance metrics and KPIs. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to ensure alignment across performance metrics and KPIs
  • Change Management: Proven ability to advocate for, anticipate, and orchestrate change; experience managing organizational transitions
  • Governance, Reporting & Compliance: Conduct executive briefings with senior stakeholders and System leadership; prepare Board-level materials summarizing progress, risks, and decision requirements; Maintain rigorous project documentation meeting firm's governance standards, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks
  • Process Excellence: Experience with process design, optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma a plus)
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities; comfortable presenting to executive audiences and facilitating working sessions
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate new information, handle emerging challenges, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Emotional Intelligence: Capacity to build trust through candor, reliability, and authenticity; embrace diversity and inclusion to improve outcomes
