Caring Transitions

Middletown, CT • On-site

Part-time

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

At Caring Transitions, we help seniors and families navigate major life changes by providing hands-on support with downsizing, relocating, estate sales, and home organization.

Every project is different. One day you may be helping prepare a home for sale, and the next you might be assisting a client with settling comfortably into a new residence. Our work combines organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and compassion to make difficult transitions easier for the people we serve.

We're looking for dependable team members who enjoy staying active, working with people, and making a meaningful difference in their local community.

What You'll Do

As a Home Transition Team Associate, you'll assist with a variety of services that help clients move forward during important life changes.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Sorting, organizing, and inventorying household belongings
  • Packing and unpacking items during relocation projects
  • Setting up clients in their new homes
  • Preparing items for donation, shipment, or resale
  • Assisting with online auctions and estate sales
  • Working closely with team members to complete projects efficiently
  • Providing friendly and respectful support to clients and families
Why People Enjoy This Role

This position is ideal for individuals who:

  • Enjoy organizing and creating order
  • Like variety and do not want to sit behind a desk all day
  • Appreciate meaningful work that helps others
  • Enjoy working with a supportive team
  • Want a flexible part-time schedule

Many of our successful team members are retirees, stay-at-home moms looking for flexible part-time work, individuals seeking supplemental income, and people who simply enjoy helping others.

What We're Looking For
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Compassion and professionalism when interacting with clients
  • Ability to perform active, hands-on work including standing, bending, lifting, and moving items throughout the day
  • Reliable transportation to local job sites

No prior experience is required. We provide training and support to help you succeed.

What We Offer
  • Flexible part-time hours
  • Primarily daytime weekday schedules
  • Starting pay of $20 per hour
  • Variety in daily work and project locations
  • Friendly, locally owned company culture
  • The opportunity to positively impact the lives of seniors and families
A Quick Note

This is an active, hands-on role. You will spend time organizing, packing, sorting, and working in a variety of home environments.

Most items handled are light household belongings and boxes weighing less than 30 pounds. Heavy lifting and furniture moving are not part of this position.

The work is meaningful and often deeply appreciated by the families we serve. Every project is an opportunity to make someone's transition a little easier and less overwhelming.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we would love to hear from you.
