What You'll Do:

 Your leadership will ensure our residents, staff, and visitors experience a safe and welcoming environment that supports high-quality healthcare. From emergency preparedness to regulatory compliance to everyday repairs, your work will make a direct difference in the lives of everyone who walks through our doors. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain critical systems, including plumbing, boilers, burners, heating, and hot water.
  • Ensure full compliance with all safety, sanitary, health, and fire codes, including NFPA 101 for healthcare facilities.
  • Recruit, coach, and inspire a skilled maintenance team; may also oversee housekeeping and/or laundry operations.
  • Set and manage schedules for staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely, high-quality work.
  • Inspect buildings and grounds regularly to ensure proper repair and safety.
  • Lead the creation, upkeep, and execution of our Emergency Preparedness Plan.
  • Plan and oversee electrical system upgrades and equipment installations.
  • Manage departmental budgets, from supply ordering to invoice approvals.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of the include:

  • Trade school graduate and/or licensed journeyman mechanic preferred.
  • 5+ years of plant engineering or skilled trades experience.
  • A strong track record of safety, regulatory compliance, and ethical maintenance practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • Clear, confident communication skills and proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Availability to respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.
  • Expertise in cost estimation, blueprint reading, and writing technical specifications.
