Job description

Acara Solutions is hiring a Global Mobility Specialist for our client's HR Operations team. This is a long term contract that would be onsite in North Phoenix (85083).
Pay range is 30-36/hr, DOE.

1. Service Overview
This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the provision of comprehensive Global Mobility Services designed to facilitate the smooth and efficient relocation of employees for Client. The service aims to ensure a positive and compliant experience for employees transitioning to new locations, whether on overseas assignments or domestic transfers within the US. The service provider will act as a dedicated partner, managing all aspects of the relocation process, coordinating with various stakeholders, and implementing policies that align with Client's objectives and market best practices.
2. Scope of Services
The service provider shall deliver the following key services:
2.1. Relocation Policy and Process Development & Management
  • Collaborate with Client to develop, review, and update comprehensive relocation policies and processes.
  • Ensure policies and processes are competitive, compliant with relevant regulations, and aligned with company goals.
  • Regularly assess and recommend adjustments to policies and processes based on market trends, feedback, and regulatory changes.
2.2. Employee Consultation and Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Client's employees undergoing relocation, providing guidance and support throughout their assignment period.
  • Deliver clear and concise communication regarding relocation preparation, benefits, policies, and available resources.
  • Offer personalized assistance to employees and their families, addressing queries and concerns related to their relocation.
2.3. Vendor Management
  • Liaise with a network of relocation service providers (e.g., housing, temporary accommodation, rental car, shipping, immigration services).
  • Coordinate with relevant government offices (e.g., for visa applications, social security, driver's license assistance).
  • Work in conjunction with Client's procurement department to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and optimize service delivery with vendors, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
2.4. Coordination and Logistics Management
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of employee relocations, including individual and group arrivals.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Client's internal cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, IT, facilities) to ensure a smooth transition for employees and their families.
  • Manage scheduling, transportation, and other logistical requirements associated with employee moves.
2.5. Compliance and Administrative Support
  • Provide support for I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and E-Verify processes for relocating employees.
  • Ensure all relocation activities adhere to relevant legal and company compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all relocation cases.
3. Reporting and Communication
The service provider will provide regular reports on relocation activities, vendor performance, and key metrics to Client's HR Operations department. Regular communication channels and review meetings will be established to ensure alignment and address any emerging needs.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise in global mobility and relocation management.
  • Expertise in negotiation and vendor management within the relocation industry.
  • Proficiency in leveraging technology for efficient relocation management, including advanced capabilities in data management and reporting (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and E-Verify processes.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is considered a significant advantage.
