Job description

Architectural Technologist
Relocate to British Columbia's Okanagan Region
Meaningful Architecture. Outdoor Lifestyle. Long Term Growth.
Salary: $60,000 to $80,000+ Depending on Experience

About the Firm

This established architectural practice is based in British Columbia's Okanagan region and has built a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, community focused architecture across commercial, civic, educational, institutional, and mixed use sectors.

The firm is known for its collaborative approach, technical expertise, and commitment to creating projects that positively impact the communities they serve. With a diverse project portfolio and a stable pipeline of work, the studio offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of project types while working alongside experienced architects and technologists in a supportive team environment.

The Okanagan is one of Canada's fastest growing regions and offers a unique balance of professional opportunity and outdoor living. Enjoy easy access to lakes, mountains, skiing, hiking, cycling, wineries, golf, and year round recreation, all while avoiding the long commutes and congestion often associated with larger urban centres.

This is an opportunity to continue growing your career while enjoying a lifestyle that allows more time outside the office and closer access to nature.

Our client is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for a technically strong and detail oriented professional with experience producing architectural documentation within an architectural practice. Working closely with Project Architects and senior team members, you will contribute to projects from Design Development through Construction Documentation while supporting consultant coordination, technical problem solving, and project delivery.

• Participate in drawing reviews and quality control processes
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external consultants
• Support Contract Administration and technical coordination activities
• Resolve technical and production related challenges throughout project delivery
• Contribute to a collaborative and team oriented studio environment

Qualifications

• Diploma in Architectural Technology or Bachelor of Architecture
• 3+ years of experience within an architectural practice
• Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
• Working knowledge of building codes and construction systems
• Experience producing Construction Documents and coordinating consultant information
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Interest in working across commercial, civic, institutional, educational, and community based projects

Additional Requirements

• Authorized to work in Canada
• Fluent in English
• Valid driver's license
• Open to relocating to British Columbia's Okanagan region

What's On Offer

• Competitive salary based on experience
• Full time, permanent position
• Relocation opportunity to one of Canada's most desirable regions
• Diverse and meaningful project work across commercial, civic, educational, and community sectors
• Supportive and collaborative studio culture
• Mentorship and professional development opportunities
• Excellent work life balance
• Long term career growth within an established and respected architectural practice
