How does the relocation bonus process typically work for new hires, and what should I expect when accepting a role that offers this benefit?

When a company offers a relocation bonus, it's usually provided as a lump sum or reimbursement to help cover moving expenses related to starting your new role. The process often involves submitting receipts or documentation for approved expenses, such as moving services, temporary housing, or travel costs. Some companies provide the bonus upfront, while others reimburse after costs are incurred. Be sure to clarify what expenses are eligible and whether there are any repayment requirements if you leave the company within a certain period. Discussing these details with HR before accepting the offer can help set clear expectations and avoid surprises.

Job description

Expert Anesthesiology. Smart Care. That's OAG. Since our formation in 1989, we have grown steadily to become one of the country's largest physician owned anesthesia practices. OAG provides expert anesthesia services at a variety of hospitals, and surgical centers, throughout the Portland/Vancouver metro area. With over 200 employed physicians and CRNAs, OAG is uniquely positioned to provide a well-managed, growth environment for you to expand your career.
We are seeking exceptional CRNAs to join our changing and growing anesthesiology practice. We are looking for CRNAs to work in the operating room and/or OB within an anesthesia care team model in a full-time, part-time, or per diem capacity. Specifically, we are seeking candidates for Legacy Health systems (Good Samaritan Medical Center, Salmon Creek Medical Center, Meridian Park Medical Center, Mt. Hood Medical Center). You will be hired into OAG, and while you will have a primary site, you will likely staff more than one hospital. You will need to obtain licensure in both Oregon and Washington.
This position requires strong clinical knowledge and skills, exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, and the highest level of professionalism. It requires that you work well within a small team environment.
We require a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other appropriate baccalaureate degree as well as graduation from an accredited graduate school of nurse anesthesia. You must possess a current CRNA license prior to any start date and have passed the national certification examination following graduation.
We offer excellent compensation ranging from $310K to $335K based on FTE. Our benefit's package is valued over $40,000 that includes: Health insurance, 10% 401k contribution, 7-weeks PTO, life/disability insurance, malpractice, and relocation bonus. Sign-on bonus $50,000.
To support our clinicians, OAG has a strong, centrally located Portland corporate office which handles billing, contracting, finance, accounting, compliance, marketing, IT, human resources and operations.
Portland boasts the ideal lifestyle just an hour west of the majestic Cascade Mountains and less than two hours east of the beautiful Pacific Ocean beaches.
Vancouver is a robust, growing city that outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy! Quick access to Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens, and never-ending recreational activities.
OAG is an equal opportunity employer supporting an inclusive culture that promotes and values diversity. OAG's mission is to be the independent practice of choice for excellence in anesthesia. We hire to these values: Excellence, Independence, Stewardship, Teamwork, Integrity, and Belonging. These are the values that drive us and make OAG a great place to work.
Begin your journey with OAG by submitting your CV and cover letter today.
