Job description

We are offering sign on bonuses ranging from $2500-$5000 plus relocation assistance. We offer excellent benefits and above scale pay for qualified elevator mechanics.

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced and licensed Elevator Mechanics to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of a wide variety of vertical transportation equipment, including elevators, escalators, and lifts. Candidates must meet the specific licensing requirements for the state in which they intend to work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, repair, and modernize elevator systems and components
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment complies with local, state, and federal safety codes
  • Diagnose issues and perform necessary adjustments or part replacements
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
  • Respond to emergency service calls, including being on-call during off-hours
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients on job status and requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in elevator repair and maintenance
  • Completion of an accredited elevator apprenticeship program or equivalent on the job experience and training
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprints, and applicable safety codes
  • Ability to work at heights and in enclosed spaces
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Skills:

  • CET (Certified Elevator Technician) or NEIEP Certification
  • OSHA 10/30 certification
  • Experience with both residential and commercial elevator units

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and tools (up to 75 lbs)
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
  • Comfortable working at various heights and in varying weather conditions
