Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Production Supervisors for multiple direct-hire opportunities with a manufacturing operation in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

The Production Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership to hourly production employees while ensuring daily safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are achieved. This position requires a strong floor presence and the ability to monitor production performance, coach employees, address problems in real time, and keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Candidates with food or beverage manufacturing experience are preferred, although individuals with strong leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or other fast-paced production environments will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide day-to-day direction to hourly production employees.
  • Monitor production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and schedule requirements are achieved.
  • Perform daily production-floor inspections to identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Lead safety audits and support ergonomic and workplace-safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HACCP, USDA, food-safety, and food-quality requirements.
  • Train and coach employees on safe operating procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze production yields, efficiencies, variances, downtime, and other key performance metrics.
  • Make real-time adjustments to production activities to maintain workflow and achieve production targets.
  • Work with Operations Managers and other Supervisors to improve processes, equipment utilization, and overall production efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, waste, and operating costs.
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to established specifications and quality standards.
  • Train, coach, mentor, and motivate employees to improve individual and team performance.
  • Lead monthly line meetings and maintain a consistent presence on the production floor.
  • Assist with problem-solving and corrective actions involving production, quality, safety, equipment, and process issues.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant production, manufacturing, operations, warehouse, or logistics experience.
  • Previous experience providing leadership, training, coaching, or mentoring to employees, or experience leading a process, project, production line, or team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production or operational environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze production data, performance metrics, and basic mathematical information.
  • Ability to coach and motivate employees while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including hot and cold production areas.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends when production requirements demand it.
  • Ability to work onsite in Cudahy, Wisconsin on the assigned 1st or 2nd shift.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food or beverage manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in meat processing, food production, or USDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, food-safety, and food-quality requirements.
  • Previous Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Team Lead, Line Lead, Operations Supervisor, or similar leadership experience.
  • Experience tracking and improving yield, efficiency, downtime, waste, throughput, and other production KPIs.
  • Experience with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and manufacturing safety programs.
  • Experience leading hourly production employees.
