Job description

Set-up Technician - Day Shift (12-hour rotating shift role)

Shift: B Shift, 6:45am- 7:00pm (Thurs, Fri, Sat + every other Wed)

Position Summary

Responsible for setting up, changing over, troubleshooting and documenting process problems associated with plastic injection molding.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Stes and/or pulls out molds from presses
  • Works in a safe manner and monitors safety of equipment and work area
  • Troubleshoots machines and process issues
  • Communicates issues to Lead Process Technician, Production Supervisor or Process Engineer, Toolroom, etc. 
  • Communicates effectively within shift and with other shiftss. 
  • Changes nozzles, nozzle tips, nozzle heater bands, etc. as needed. 
  • Maintains housekeeping and 5S Standards
  • Cleans and sets up auxiliary equipment
  • Responsible for daily PM's

Qualifications 

Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of three years of related experience in injection molding. 
  • Must have mechanical skills/aptitude (as determined by testing).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, reach above shoulders for periods of times.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, life, squat, bend, push, pull, grasp, twist, lift, and climb steps. 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this position is: starting at $19.00/hour plus any applicable shift differential.
