Reliability Tech Lead
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Reliability Tech Lead to provide lead supervision and oversees daily maintenance operations and activities within designated departments; supervise and evaluate the work of maintenance employees and outside contractors; assists in inspection and troubleshooting of maintenance work.

Responsibilities:
The maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance of this job description.
Essential Functions
A. Performs as an assistant supervisor to the Maintenance Supervisor by supervising and assigning staff based on workloads and schedules; assists in overseeing the repairs to equipment, machinery, and facility; develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures; ensures that staff is trained in electrical maintenance activities and are following standard operating procedures.
B. Monitors and participates in operations for assigned areas including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, inspecting contractor's work to ensure safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.
C. Ensures that all plant-required PPE is being used and is kept in good repair at all times
D. Coordinates safety training for maintenance personnel as needed
E. Ensures that proper safety practices are being followed by working with the supervisor and manager to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety quality and productivity.
F. Learn and use PeopleSoft procurement system to order parts and supplies related to job
G. Learn and use Maintenance Work Order System/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions
H. Directs the work order system as follows:
I. Maintain Maintenance Work Order System
1. Schedule and organize work orders with the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
2. Communicate with Department Managers and Supervisors to clarify work orders.
3. Assign work orders to specific maintenance employees.
4. Follow-up on assigned work orders to ensure that they are completed in an efficient and timely manner
J. Inspects work for completeness
K. Be able to effectively train technicians at equivalent or lower levels to perform tasks successfully and safely
L. Demonstrates and assists with continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
M. In the absence of the supervisor, will assume all duties and responsibilities of that position
N. Adhere to normal work schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
O. Attend meetings as required.
P. Lead, supervise, and provide training/guidance to lower-level technician-electricians
Q. Report to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job
R. Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others
S. Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor or department manager
T. Maintain updating Lock out Tag out procedures through the Brady software.
Non-Essential Requirements
A. Must have excellent organizational skills
B. Must be able to demonstrate good computer skills including but not limited to Excel, searching the Internet, etc.
C. Work cooperatively with other maintenance employees
D. Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts and overtime as necessary up to 7 days
E. Must have satisfactory work history as defined in personnel file
F. Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral to management and other associates
G. Must attend shift first day-back safety meetings
H. Must comply with all company policies
I. Must meet all requirements to drive/operate company vehicle on company business
J. Must attend all training/development as required by facility management
K. Must practice good housekeeping skills
L. Must abide by Company attendance policy
M. Must support PRIDE goals
N. Follow up on assignments in order to assure they are completed and working properly
Physical Requirements
A. Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time
B. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry loads of up to 50 pounds without assistance
C. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently
D. Must be able to work with hands/arms extended overhead
E. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders repeatedly
F. Must be able to work in temperatures in excess of 100 degrees for limited periods of time
G. Must be able to operate hand and power tools and equipment
H. Must be able to use/operate hand and power tools in areas of limited space
I. Must be able to work in elevated environment (ladders, lifts, baskets, etc.) for extended periods of time
J. Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity and temperature variations
K. Must be able to work outdoors as needed
L. Must be able to work on facility roofs as necessary
M. Must be able to work near moving electrical machine parts and near live electrical systems
N. Must successfully pass vision screen for driving powered industrial trucks
Safety/Training Requirements
A. Completion of START Tech Electrician IV or Reliability Technician A training program
B. Must follow all company and plant specific safety policies
C. Must be able to pass certification for driving powered industrial trucks (including forks, squeeze, pole, articulating lifts, scissors lifts, etc.)
D. Must complete and follow all applicable Shaw SAFE training requirements
E. Must attend all training/development classes as required by facility management
Tool, Equipment, and Material Requirements
A. Power and specialty will be furnished by company. All general hand tools will be furnished by the associate
Preferences
Preference may be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following:
A. Verifiable experience performing electrical and/or mechanical work
B. Verifiable experience repairing machinery
