Job Title: Reliability Manager
Reports To: Plant Manager
Position Description:
Develops and implements strategies to maximize equipment uptime, performance, and lifespan by minimizing failures, often focusing on critical assets in manufacturing or IT. Key duties include leading predictive/preventive maintenance, conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), analyzing failure data, managing reliability projects, training staff, and using tools like CMMS, RCM, Pd.M., and Six Sigma to drive operational excellence and cost optimization.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Strategy amp; Planning: Develop and execute long-term reliability strategies, including maintenance plans (preventive, predictive, proactive).
  • Failure Analysis: Lead investigations into recurring failures using RCAs (like Kepner-Tregoe) and FRACAS systems.
  • Data amp; Technology: Utilize data analytics, condition monitoring, and CMMSsoftware to track performance and identify trends.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering, operations, production, and maintenance teams to implement improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and provide direction to maintenance technicians and supervisors.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma, reliability modeling, and other methodologies.
  • Asset Management: Oversee spare parts, maintenance budgets, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
