Job description

Lead the maintenance and reliability strategy for a manufacturing facility while driving equipment uptime, preventive maintenance excellence, continuous improvement, and team development. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys building reliable systems, developing teams, and partnering across the plant to improve operational performance.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead maintenance, reliability, and facilities operations.
  • Lead implementation and sustainment of reliability improvement initiatives to reduce equipment failures and improve asset performance.
  • Drive equipment uptime through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Analyze equipment performance, downtime trends, and maintenance metrics using SAP, CMMS, and other reliability systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage maintenance technicians, employee development, and performance.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs related to safety, quality, service, efficiency, equipment uptime, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Partner with Operations to prioritize maintenance activities and maximize production performance.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, backlog prioritization, and capital improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using CMMS, SAP, or similar maintenance management systems to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, and performance reporting.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, automation, HVAC, and facility systems.
  • Experience leading reliability programs, preventive maintenance systems, and root cause failure analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
    • Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
    • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification preferred
    • Experience managing multi-shift or continuous operations
    • Paper converting, chemical or plastics processing, or packaging industrial experience
    • Lean manufacturing experience
    • Experience leading capital improvement projects in a manufacturing environment
    • SAP experience
