Job description

Senior Platform Reliability Engineer

Join Manulife Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM) and help power critical cloud platforms that enable data, analytics, and AI across the organization. We're looking for a Senior Platform Reliability Engineer to lead the reliability, performance, and evolution of our Azure-based platform ecosystem, including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern PaaS services.

What You'll Do
  • Manage and enhance Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure PaaS resources, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deploy, support, and optimize services such as APIM, Redis, Key Vault, PostgreSQL, AI Foundry, and Storage.
  • Partner with development teams to onboard and troubleshoot applications in Azure environments.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, Flux, and GitHub Actions.
  • Drive platform reliability, automation, security, and operational excellence.
  • Leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance platform operations.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting business-critical services.
What We're Looking For
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, AKS, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Experience supporting and administering cloud-native platforms in production environments.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Azure PaaS services.
  • Understanding of platform monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Azure Monitor, or ADX.
  • Experience with Agile delivery practices and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
