Sales Manager - Aerospace & Defense

Hermetic Sealing

Position Summary

The Sales Manager - Aerospace & Defense is responsible for developing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and driving profitable sales growth for the company's hermetic sealing products and capabilities.

This is a hands-on commercial role that combines business development, account management, technical selling, contract negotiation, sales forecasting, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will have relevant aerospace and defense industry experience, including experience negotiating customer contracts, long-term agreements, pricing, and commercial terms.

The position requires curiosity and technical aptitude to understand customer applications, ask effective technical questions, and connect customers with the appropriate engineering and manufacturing resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities and qualify, nurture, and close new leads.
  • Expand existing customer relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities with other business units.
  • Negotiate aerospace and defense contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements.
  • Maintain Salesforce CMRs and reconcile Salesforce data with the ERP system.
  • Manage Next Expected Purchase Orders (NEPOs) and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, operations, finance, and customer service.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Contribute positively to the company's collaborative, customer-focused culture.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of technical sales, business development, or strategic account management experience.
  • Experience selling into the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating aerospace and defense contracts.
  • Salesforce CRM experience preferred.
  • ERP system experience preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude; previous Sales Engineer or Applications Engineer experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
