At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Leader to lead equipment reliability, maintenance operations, and a talented team of maintenance technicians for an assigned line in our Dallas, Texas manufacturing plant.  The Maintenance Leader is part of the IWS line trio team which has 24/7 ownership of the performance of an assigned production line.  The Line Trio consists of 3 roles: Line Leader, Maintenance Leader and Process Engineer.  The role of the Maintenance Leader is to champion equipment reliability and performance for the assigned line is responsible for the equipment maintenance plan and breakdown analysis execution.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation.  
  • Drive equipment reliability and reduce downtime across critical production assets.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to optimize performance.
  • Influence maintenance strategy, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability improvements.
  • Play a key role in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Own meaningful KPIs tied to equipment effectiveness, reliability, maintenance cost, and team performance. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead People
    • Coach, develop, and engage maintenance technicians across multiple shifts.
    • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Build technical capability within the maintenance organization.
  • Improve Reliability
    • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
    • Analyze equipment failures and drive root cause solutions.
    • Improve equipment uptime, reliability, and operational performance.
    • Identify opportunities for process and asset improvement.
  • Execute Maintenance Strategy
    • Manage maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
    • Prioritize work orders and maintenance resources.
    • Partner with operations leaders to coordinate planned maintenance events.
    • Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement improvement plans.
  • Drive Operational Excellence
    • Support Danone's Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure maintenance documentation, procedures, and technical records remain accurate and current.
    • Participate in equipment upgrades, capital projects, and new technology implementation.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; taste and/or smell, talk and hear.
  • Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head.
  • The employee must regularly endure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting 10lbs up to 50lbs and occasional team lifting above 50lbs. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results.
  • The employee is frequently standing on a concrete surface for 8-, 10- or 12-hour shifts
  • Occasionally may need to climb on stairs, step ladders, stool.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.

As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

About You

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:
Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading maintenance activities, maintenance teams, or reliability initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 Manufacturing Operation, as needed to have visibility and proximity across the 4 shifts as business needs dictate.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience with maintenance planning systems and SAP.
  • Experience within food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, dairy, or high-speed manufacturing environments.
