Job description


Job Purpose

Provide maintenance reliability systems and equipment consulting across facilities. Perform technical consulting in various offerings, such as root cause failure analysis, reliability centered maintenance, uptime, and system preventative maintenance.

Essential Functions

• Identify, prioritize, design, and implement facility and equipment upgrades to improve safety, cost, capacity, and quality of manufacturing

• Lead the site Mechanical Reliability Team through identification and resolution of recurring reliability issues

• Assist in tracking maintenance, quality, and root cause metrics to analyze and create predictive maintenance activities

• Perform improvement audits at plant location in both leadership and support capacity

• Identify gaps in the site’s work practices and help define the business value for improvements; develop strategies, program proposals, improvement programs, and control plans to close the gaps and deliver business improvements and help the site implement; obtain funding approval as required to support developed programs

• Assist in the planning and coordination of plant shutdown maintenance repairs including supervision of contract maintenance crews

• Assist in the identification and tracking of plant critical spare parts and scheduling of maintenance activities

• Contribute in the analysis and improvement of site precision maintenance techniques

• Plan, schedule, and execute equipment replacement and capital projects

• Participate on reliability improvement projects and collaborate with workers to identify improvements and create standard processes

• Interact with plant personnel, suppliers, and contractors to accomplish business improvements

• Participate in and support the food safety program, quality standards, and legality of products manufactured in the facility

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance and reliability with automated mixing, conveying, packaging, and HVAC equipment

• Significant knowledge of theories, methods, and procedures of engineering and experimental design

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

• Ability to manage projects effectively, collect and analyze data, and develop and implement creative solutions to problems

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work successfully independently and within teams
