The Reliability Engineer will be the site's technical authority on asset reliability, driving preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, eliminating chronic equipment issues, and improving uptime, safety, and maintenance effectiveness across the plant.

As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for improving equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness by developing and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, leading reliability improvement initiatives, and providing technical expertise to maintenance and operations teams. This role partners closely with plant stakeholders to reduce equipment downtime, eliminate chronic failures, and support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

This role reports to the Planning and Control Manager.

What you will do:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and availability.
  • Serve as the site's reliability subjectmatter expert, providing technical guidance and coaching to maintenance planners and technicians.
  • Lead reliability improvement initiatives, including bad actor programs, root cause analyses (RCA), and FMEAs to eliminate chronic equipment issues.
  • Utilize the CMMS (SAP) to manage maintenance data, equipment files, BOMs, and key reliability and inspection performance metrics.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, and storeroom teams to prioritize defects, align operating practices, and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Support maintenance planning, spare parts strategy, and quality standards for repairs, rebuilds, and contracted work.
  • Promote plant safety and reliability best practices while staying current on emerging inspection and predictive maintenance technologies.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in reliability engineering and asset management, including preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP preferred) and use of maintenance and reliability data to drive decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead reliability initiatives such as RCA, FMEA, and bad actor programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problemsolving skills with the ability to influence crossfunctional teams.

Pay Range:

$84,400.00-$112,533.33 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
