Titan Florida has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Reliability Engineer at the Pennsuco Cement plant in Medley, FL.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Develops, improves, and administers the Preventive/Predictive maintenance program.
  • Analyze equipment failure history through RCFA methodology to identify specific repetitive failures and determine the actions to prevent failure reoccurrence.
  • Analyze equipment planned downtime to develop and improve PM schedules.
  • Work with other engineers, supervisors and planners as necessary, to develop job scopes and procedures for regular and major maintenance activities.
  • Support other departments with new equipment purchases, including materials and spare parts.
  • Identify potential cost reductions through condition-based monitoring, reduce labor cost, reduce inventories and other part related improvements.
  • Review, improve and develop equipment inspections routines.
  • Direct supervision of reliability technicians and maintenance inspectors.
  • Asist in establishing training for maintenance and reliability personnel.
  • Assist in developing and implementing departmental plans.
  • Assist in identifying courses of action to improve safety, reliability, operational efficiencies, control production costs, and protect the environment.
  • Assist with Reporting, planning. and audits.
  • Clearly articulate ideas or issues to management.
  • Conduct Studies of operating procedures to develop methods of prolonging equipment life, increasing mill and kiln efficiency, increase life of mill and kiln linings, etc.
  • Identify and implement projects to support overall department reliability goals. Work on all aspects of project lifecycle, including conceptual design, costing, engineering and installation support and direct job supervision.
  • Collect engineering data for use in preparation of cost estimates for projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual operating schedules, operating budgets, cost estimates, preparation and justifications.
  • Other duties as directed by Methods Manager
Qualifications
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years as a Mechanical or Reliability Engineer, preferably in a cement plant operation environment.
  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Must have good leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with maintenance procedures, planning, scheduling, digital applications, and computerized systems.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and MS Project.
  • Must have basic project management skills.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures.

Working conditions:

Works in all weather conditions including heat, cold, ice, rain and in high humidity and is required to work in all plant environments. Incumbent will be exposed to vibrating equipment, mechanical and electrical hazards and heights. May have exposure to dust, cement, clay, gypsum, sand, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, various fuels, etc.
