Cherry County Hospital is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention & Safety Officer to lead our hospital-wide infection prevention, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness programs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient safety, employee well-being, and quality care in a rural Critical Access Hospital.

Position Highlights
  • Lead infection prevention and workplace safety initiatives
  • Coordinate the hospital's Emergency Preparedness Program
  • Monitor compliance with CMS, CDC, OSHA, and accreditation standards
  • Conduct safety rounds, infection surveillance, and staff education
  • Collaborate with leadership and clinical departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement

 Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Public Health, Safety, or a related field

  • CIC, CHSP, CEPS, or similar certification preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare safety, infection prevention, quality, or risk management preferred.
