Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Interface and Support with the Design & Release Engineer (D&R) to deliver a quality product on time
  • Project management interfacing and working closely with the Body Controls team and suppliers \
  • Provide project management and technical leadership to the Body Controls team.
  • Lead a Program Action Team (PAT) meeting with a weekly cadence
  • Maintain lists of deliverables, software releases and issues
  • Drive items on the list to closure in a timely manner meeting Ford milestones
  • Track software through cradle to grave life cycle
  • Report out to management as necessary possibly explaining multiple solutions and the pros/cons of each solution
  • Track supplier manpower for Software Development, Systems Integration and Validation. Identify resource inconsistencies
  • Provide estimates and review actuals for cost and timing of making software changes
  • Ensure Software development plans meet Ford timing
  • Schedule software releases to meet Ford timing and are delivered accordingly
  • Drive the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), Design Validation Plan & Report (DVP&R), and Non-Testable Matrix (NTM)
  • Drive Functional Safety (if applicable)
  • Support the following tasks
  • Work with the Full Service Supplier (FSS) software team explaining software requirements.
  • Schedule Software design reviews with Suppliers
  • Software Change Management
Qualifications

You'll have...

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • 1+ years Project Management or Project Lead position
  • 1+ years Embedded Software or Hardware experience
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of Jira

  • Knowledge of control theory and algorithm design
  • Knowledge of agile development processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of Matlab/Stateflow
  • Working knowledge of agile development processes
  • Experience in working with, and/or for an Electronics Control Manufacturer or OEM is desirable
  • Knowledge of AutoSAR and RTE
  • Knowledge of CAN/LIN
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
