Job Description

We are seeking a Mobile Application Release/Deployment Engineer to support the development, release, and production deployment of iOS and Android applications. The role will serve as the liaison between Mobile Development, QA, Product, Release Management, and Production Support teams to ensure successful delivery of mobile applications to customers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with mobile application delivery, JavaScript, Swift, CI/CD, app store publishing, and release governance and a proven ability to drive deployment readiness, coordinate production releases, and manage app store submissions while mitigating risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end mobile application delivery across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Manage release and deployment activities for mobile applications through all SDLC phases.
  • Coordinate build validation, deployment readiness reviews, and production release activities.
  • Download, validate, and manage deployment artifacts from Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Publish and maintain applications within Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
  • Partner with Mobile Developers, QA, Product Owners, and Infrastructure teams to ensure successful releases.
  • Lead deployment bridge calls and communicate release status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Monitor production deployments and coordinate resolution of deployment-related incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise change management, risk, and deployment controls.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate release and deployment processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in Mobile Application Development, Release Engineering, DevOps, or Deployment Management.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and understanding of Swift and native Android/iOS lifecycles.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and related pipelines.
  • Experience managing releases via Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
  • Understanding of Agile teams and Release Train deployments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate cross-team resolutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience building deployment automation and release management tooling.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with Bank of America mobile application delivery processes.
  • Ability to operate effectively during critical production releases and incidents.

Role Logistics

  • Approved location: Charlotte, NC.
  • Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
  • Start window: September or October.
  • Interview process: 1-2 rounds. Video required. In-person required.
