Job description

Role Overview
Trax USA Corp is currently recruiting for a highly organized and execution-focused Release Coordinator to own and drive the end-to-end release lifecycle across our software products. This role is responsible for coordinating release schedules, standardizing release processes, ensuring high-quality packaging and delivery, and acting as the central point of accountability between Development, QA, Product, and Customer teams.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong operational discipline, and has experience managing complex, multi-component software releases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Release Planning & Scheduling
  • Own and maintain the master release calendar across all products (eMRO, eMobility, integrations, etc.)
  • Coordinate release timelines across Development, QA, Product, and Support teams
  • Ensure alignment with customer commitments, SLAs, and internal priorities
  • Manage release gates (QA sign-off, Product approval, Dev readiness)

2. Release Process Governance
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve the release coordinator process
  • Enforce standard release lifecycle stages (RC ? GA ? Fix Pack ? Patch)
  • Establish and maintain release checklists and quality gates
  • Ensure adherence to governance (ITIL-style approvals, audit readiness)

3. Release Notes & Documentation
  • Own the release notes process end-to-end
  • Standardize format and content across all products
  • Ensure accurate documentation of:
  • New features / MODs
  • Bug fixes
  • Known issues
  • Deployment instructions
  • Coordinate with Product Owners and QA to validate completeness and accuracy

4. Packaging & Delivery Management
  • Oversee the assembly of release artifacts, including:
  • WAR / EAR files
  • iOS IPA builds
  • SQL scripts / database changes
  • Configuration files / PKGs
  • Ensure all required components are included and validated before release
  • Coordinate delivery to customers (FTP, cloud distribution, on-site deployments)
  • Maintain a release manifest for each delivery

5. Cross-Team Coordination
  • Act as the central point of coordination between:
  • Development
  • QA
  • Product Management
  • Support / Customer teams
  • Run release readiness meetings and drive accountability
  • Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early

6. Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all releases meet quality standards and testing requirements
  • Enforce:
  • QA validation completion
  • Regression testing where required
  • Proper versioning and traceability
  • Support audit/compliance needs (FAA, SOC 2, etc.)

7. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify gaps in release execution and implement improvements
  • Drive adoption of CI/CD best practices
  • Improve automation, tracking, and visibility of releases
  • Reduce release defects, rework, and missed components

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Release Management, Program Management, or Software Delivery
  • Strong experience managing complex, multi-component software releases
  • Experience with Agile environments and sprint-based delivery

Familiarity with:
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Version control (e.g., Bitbucket, Git)
  • Issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple releases and priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in enterprise software / SaaS / aviation / MRO systems
  • Familiarity with mobile app releases (iOS IPA distribution)
  • Understanding of backend technologies (WAR/EAR deployments, databases)
  • Experience working with global teams and customers across time zones
  • Knowledge of release governance frameworks (ITIL, change management)
