Core Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform daily troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair duties on plant machinery and electrical equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance (PM) routines to ensure optimal machinery operation and reduce downtime.
  • Diagnostic & Logic Analysis: Locate sources of operational problems using PLC programs, precision measuring tools, and deductive logic.
  • Component Replacement & Adjustment: Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling and reassembling equipment; clean, lubricate, and adjust electrical machinery to proper operating parameters.
  • Root-Cause Failure Analysis: Examine components for defects (opens, shorts, insulation breakdowns, wear, or burns) to determine root causes of machine performance issues.
  • Documentation & Support: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, track consumed parts/supplies, complete task reports, and answer technical questions to support the maintenance team.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to company policies and regulatory safety standards (OSHA, EPA, NEC, NFPA, LOTO, and confined space procedures).
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment required.
  • Licensure: Valid Construction and Maintenance OR Industrial Electrician License.
  • Education: Degree/Certification from an Electrical or Electronics Technology program.
Important Technical Skills
  • PLC & Controls: Proficiency with PLCs, relay logic controls, and AC/DC drives.
  • Diagnostics: Skill in reading electrical schematics, utilizing precision measuring tools, and applying logic to troubleshoot system faults.
  • Auxiliary Systems (Preferred): Exposure to or licensure for natural gas appliances, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and boiler systems.
