What does a relationship manager intern do?

A Relationship Manager Intern supports the relationship management team by assisting with client communications, preparing reports, and learning about client portfolio management. Interns often help address client inquiries, conduct market research, and participate in meetings to gain firsthand experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships. This internship is designed to provide exposure to the financial industry and develop essential skills in customer service, communication, and problem-solving.

What types of projects and client interactions can a relationship manager intern expect during their internship?

As a Relationship Manager Intern, you can expect to work closely with senior relationship managers to support client onboarding, assist with account reviews, and help prepare client presentations. Interns often participate in meetings with clients or prospects, gaining valuable exposure to client communication and needs assessment. Job description

Application close date:

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Blue Origin hires 300+ interns a year, and their experience with us shapes whether they come back as full-time employees. As Program Manager for Intern Experience, you will own the day-to-day operations of the internship lifecycle including onboarding, programming, mentorship, and offboarding for the population that becomes one of our strongest early-career talent pipelines.

This is an execution-first role with real ownership. You will run a defined program within our broader University Programs portfolio, working from established playbooks while identifying where those playbooks need to improve. You will be the operational backbone of the intern experience: the person who makes sure the cohort programming happens, the mentor matches land, the survey data gets collected and acted on, and the escalations get resolved before they become patterns.

You will work with periodic guidance from your manager and alongside other program managers, with a clear path to expanding scope as you demonstrate ownership.

What You'll Do

Own Program Execution

  • Own the operational delivery of intern experience programming across the internship lifecycle: onboarding, cohort events, mentorship touchpoints, development sessions, and offboarding
  • Execute against established plans, timelines, and templates; manage program calendars, logistics, vendor coordination, and communications
  • Maintain accurate program documentation, tracking, and reporting in a timely manner
  • Coordinate across Blue Origin sites including our main sites in Kent, Huntsville, Cape Canaveral, as well as our satellite offices to deliver a consistent intern experience regardless of where someone is assigned

Measure and Report

  • Monitor program metrics and survey responses, including intern experience scores, manager feedback, participation rates, and conversion signals
  • Report program status against objectives on a regular cadence, flagging risks with enough context for your manager and stakeholders to act
  • Surface insights from day-to-day execution and stakeholder feedback that should inform how the program evolves
  • Contribute program data and lessons learned to business review mechanisms and post-cycle retrospectives

Support Interns, Managers, and Mentors

  • Serve as a primary operational point of contact for interns, intern managers, and mentors; answering questions, unblocking issues, and routing what you can't resolve
  • Work escalations involving interns, managers, or mentors through to resolution, escalating complex or sensitive cases to your manager with relevant context
  • Build working-level relationships with recruiters, HR partners, hiring managers, and site teams that make the program run smoothly

Improve What You Own

  • Identify friction in the intern experience and propose practical improvements within your program scope
  • Support the transition from intern to full-time hire in partnership with University Programs and early-career onboarding efforts, so the support interns receive doesn't end when they return as employees
  • Apply AI-enabled tools for content generation, scheduling, and program communications to gain efficiency without degrading quality
  • Contribute to documentation of best practices and playbooks that make each cycle better than the last

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in talent acquisition, university programs, early career, or HR programs
  • Experience owning end-to-end delivery of a defined program or workstream, including planning, execution, tracking, and closeout
  • Demonstrated use of data and metrics to report on program health and drive improvements
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to give clear status updates and escalate issues with context
  • Experience working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize across competing demands and deliver on tight timelines
  • Comfort operating with some ambiguity and taking initiative without waiting for direction
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience (including military)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with internship, apprenticeship, or early-career program operations
  • Familiarity with TA systems and tooling (ATS, CRM, survey platforms, reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Smartsheet)
  • Experience coordinating programs across multiple US sites
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools to program operations, content, or communications
  • Event and logistics management experience at scale

Base Pay Range for:

WA applicants is $112,059.00 - $156,882.60
