Assistant Property Manager
Dayton, Ohio

Burlington Capital Properties is looking for the right individual to fulfill an exciting and rewarding career opportunity as an Assistant Property Manager at a multifamily community in Dayton, Ohio.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operations of the property, support leasing and resident relations, and help ensure the community is well-maintained and operating efficiently. This position will also assist with the direction, coordination, and follow-up of maintenance, grounds, and leasing team members as needed.

Schedule

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with some weekends as required, and rotating on-call responsibilities to respond to emergency calls.

The successful candidate will:

  • Follow and enforce policies and procedures that enhance on-site operations
  • Assist with daily operations at the property
  • Perform leasing functions including greeting, touring and qualifying prospective residents
  • Prepare documentation and perform administrative duties
  • Complete move-in and move-out procedures
  • Interact daily with prospective residents to achieve occupancy goals
  • Actively promote resident retention, leasing and marketing programs
  • Participating in resident retention/relations
  • Assist with the direction and follow-up of maintenance, grounds, and leasing associates as needed
  • Participating in all staff meetings and contribute to team effort

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have basic understanding of the English language, and be able to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member required
  • Basic accounting/financial record keeping knowledge
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills are required for this position
  • Possess excellent prioritizing and organizational skills
  • Two to three years of leasing and/or Assistant Property Manager experience preferred
  • RealPage operating experience required
  • Lease-up experience preferred
  • Experience assisting with the direction and follow-up of maintenance, grounds, and leasing associates preferred
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required
