Senior Employee Relations Investigator



Position Overview


We are seeking a highly experienced Employee Relations professional with deep expertise in workplace investigations, employment law, compliance, and risk mitigation to support a large and geographically dispersed workforce. This role serves as a trusted advisor to Human Resources, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and Executive Leadership teams, conducting complex workplace investigations and providing strategic guidance on sensitive employee matters

.The ideal candidate will possess a strong investigative background, exceptional analytical and report-writing skills, and the ability to navigate high-risk employment issues with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. This position requires a unique blend of employee relations expertise, legal acumen, and investigative rigor comparable to a paralegal or workplace compliance professional



Key Responsibilities:

Workplace Investigations & Case Management

  • Lead complex workplace investigations from intake through final resolution involving allegations
  • Prepare detailed investigation summaries, legal-quality reports, findings memoranda, and recommendations that can withstand internal audits, external agency reviews, arbitration proceedings, litigation, and regulatory scrutiny
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and chain-of-custody controls for all sensitive employee relations matters


Employment Law & Compliance

  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assess legal and organizational risk associated with employee relations matters and recommend appropriate corrective actio
  • Partner closely with Legal Counsel
  • Employment litigation support
  • Administrative agency responses Internal compliance reviews Regulatory inquiries
  • Assist in preparing documentation and case files supporting legal proceedings, audits, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative investigatio


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of employee relations, workplace investigations, employment law, compliance, legal, labor relations, or HR experience.
  • Alternatively, 12-14 years of progressive related experience in lieu of degree requirements.


Extensive knowledge of:

  • Title VII

  • FMLA
  • FLSA
  • NLRA
  • EEOC regulations
  • Workplace investigation methodologies
  • Employment law compliance
