Currently, BSR has an immediate opening for a Leasing Specialist. The Leasing Specialist performs a variety of duties associated with leasing and marketing the apartment community.
The Leasing Specialist will be responsible for the following:
  • Provide information about the apartment and the community to the prospective residents and schedule visits to the community
  • Determine the needs and respond promptly to resident needs and concerns in a professional manner
  • Quickly close new sales and lease apartments
  • Use effective sales techniques on the telephone and in person to maximize the conversion of traffic to leases
  • Effectively explain all lease and community policies to new and current residents
  • Maintain an accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the community, particularly in areas such as rent and pricing information, vacancies, apartment availability, lease expirations, square footage, etc.
  • Analyze concerns associated with apartments which are slow to lease and offers recommendations to the Property Manager
  • Conduct follow up activity with all residents in order to establish positive resident relations
  • Accurately and efficiently prepares and assists with all leasing paperwork
  • Maintain current resident files
  • Maintain accurate record of daily prospect calls and visits
  • Completes service requests and communicates to service/maintenance department and enters information into the database
  • Answering phones, typing, filing and other clerical functions as deemed necessary.
  • Follow all policies and procedures defined by BSR REIT
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • 1-2 years apartment leasing experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • General working knowledge of computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Resman)
  • Warm, engaging personality
  • Friendly, energetic with great people skills
  • Excellent at both phone and in person sales
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good verbal skills
