Job description

MW Partners is currently seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to work for our client who is a global leader in the media and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Review and reconcile aged, stale-dated, or escheated checks tied to residuals payments.
  • Investigate historical transactions and supporting documentation to confirm payment accuracy.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. Payroll and Unclaimed
  • Property) to validate reissue payment information and resolve outstanding reissues.
  • Enter, update, and correct payment data in internal systems (e.g., PARIS and SAP).
  • Track progress and provide regular updates on reissue efforts

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll, or a related finance function.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits, credits, and reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to research and resolve payment discrepancies with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience with systems such as PARIS and SAP.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient at Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments
