About WKM Solutions

WKM Solutions is a multinational holding company headquartered in Washington, DC, with subsidiaries spanning construction, real estate development, technology, and Latin American operations. Our portfolio includes commercial and residential development projects, general contracting services, and a growing footprint across the U.S. and Brazil. We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from planning through closeout across our construction and development operations.

Position Summary

WKM Solutions is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience managing construction and/or real estate development projects. This role is responsible for overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality from preconstruction through final closeout, while coordinating across internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and ownership. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full project lifecycle for commercial and/or residential construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans; proactively identify and resolve delays or cost overruns

Serve as primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors

Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements

Track project costs against budget, including reviewing and approving invoices (e.g., via Procore and QuickBooks)

Lead weekly project meetings and provide regular status reports to executive leadership

Ensure compliance with building codes, permitting requirements, and safety regulations

Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment to meet project timelines

Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, drawings, and closeout packages

Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track

Mentor junior project staff and site supervisors as needed

Support cross-subsidiary coordination with WKM Development, WKM Construction, and related entities

Required Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in construction project management, real estate development, or a related field

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven track record managing projects from $1M+ in total construction value

Strong working knowledge of construction contracts (AIA, ConsensusDocs, or similar)

Proficiency with project management and accounting software (e.g., Procore, QuickBooks, MS Project, Bluebeam)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong negotiation, budgeting, and financial analysis skills

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, CCM, or similar project management certification

Experience working within a multi-entity or holding company structure

Familiarity with DC/Maryland/Virginia permitting and regulatory environments

Bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish (a plus given WKM's Latin American operations)

OSHA 30 certification
