Job description

Are you driven by a passion to help children?  Are you a leader who is objective, confident and a problem solver?

If yes, Lakemary is looking for a Program Manager for our Children's Residential Service Program.  This is a supervisory and administrative position.  The position supports staff development and actively participates in scheduling appropriate coverage.  Provides general oversight of Children’s Service Treatment Program for quality services, safety, and compliance with appropriate regulations and standards.  This position reports to the Residential Director.

 Program Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assumes leadership role in departmental and team decisions.
  • Complete formal new employee induction reviews.
  • Plan and implement effective activities and outings, using time, materials and resources effectively
  • Maintain a regular presence in each residential site and provide support, coaching and mentoring for employees.
  • Works effectively with other Program Managers.
  • Ensure that vacancies are filled in a timely manner.
  • Ensure coverage is scheduled and communicated to residential staff.
  • Provide on-call support and direction to employee’s through telephone communications and being physically present within a minimal amount of time, if needed.
  • Responds to emergency/crisis situations, as requested by administration or other Campus Coaches.
  • Manage and/or provide direction to individuals served during crisis situations.

  • Makes decisions and takes action which are appropriate and based on sound reasoning
  • Realistic with individuals served over perceptions and values, along with building team skills

Program Manager Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or related field
  • 3 years of supervisory experience working direct care, residential treatment, mental health, or related setting.      
  • Be at least 18+ years of age

Other Job Details:

  • Hours: This position works 12 hour shifts with 4 additional hours on Wednesday mornings. This position works with our residential evening shift so covers evenings and weekends.
  • Starting salary: $63,000.00 annually plus benefits
