At American Credit Acceptance (ACA), compliance isn't just about keeping up with regulations. It's about helping the business navigate change, identify opportunities, and ensure we continue to serve our customers responsibly while growing in a dynamic regulatory environment.
We're looking for a curious, analytical, and proactive professional to join our Compliance team as a Regulatory Change Analyst. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Compliance, Legal, Operations, and business strategy while leading ACA's regulatory change management process.

What You'll Do
Coordinate Regulatory Change Processes
  • Research and monitor state and federal regulatory developments impacting ACA's business operations.
  • Assess applicability and business impact of new laws and regulations in partnership with Legal and Compliance.
  • Coordinate implementation activities to ensure regulatory requirements are effectively integrated into business processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify operational impacts and develop practical compliance solutions.
  • Communicate complex regulatory changes in a clear, concise, and business-friendly manner.
  • Maintain regulatory inventories, impact assessments, implementation plans, and supporting documentation.

Influence Cross-Functional Business Decisions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, Legal, Compliance, and operational teams.
  • Facilitate discussions and collaborate with stakeholders to implement compliant and effective business solutions.
  • Support evaluation of regulatory requirements for new products, services, and business initiatives.
  • Help translate regulatory obligations into sustainable controls and monitoring activities.

Support Compliance Operations
  • Manage and respond to compliance-related inquiries.
  • Conduct regulatory research and compliance analysis.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations and audit activities.
  • Coordinate information gathering and response efforts across business units.
  • Support remediation planning and implementation related to examination findings.

Stay Connected to Industry Trends
  • Monitor regulatory developments, industry publications, and emerging legislation.
  • Evaluate potential impacts of proposed laws and industry changes.
  • Provide insights that help ACA proactively prepare for future regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Compliance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Risk Management, Financial Services, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to independently research and interpret complex regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred
  • Experience in auto finance, banking, lending, fintech, or other regulated financial services environments.
  • Experience supporting regulatory change management initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Knowledge of consumer finance regulations and state licensing requirements.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional implementation efforts.
  • Paralegal certification.
