Step into a specialized nursing opportunity focused on Interventional Radiology, where expertise and patient-centered care make a difference every day. This contract position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with experience in IR, looking for a rewarding role in a supportive healthcare environment.
Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in Interventional Radiology
  • Proficiency in IR protocols, patient preparation, and post-procedural care
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
  • Strong IV therapy and moderate sedation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication abilities
  • Experience with electronic medical records and charting
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver skilled nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
  • Prepare patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication of procedure expectations
  • Assist physicians and technologists throughout diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition, providing immediate interventions as necessary
  • Administer conscious sedation and monitor for potential complications
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
