Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment, providing specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing various interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing patients, monitoring them throughout the procedure, and overseeing post-procedure recovery, including PACU and extended stay (23-hour) care. Additionally, you will be an essential part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients, requiring critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Schedule
This position involves a 4x10 shift schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, with potential requirements for weekends, holidays, and on-call duty as needed by the unit.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only)
  • Telemetry experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology (IR)
