Job description

Job Summary

Provides and directs individualized care to patients through the use of the nursing process. Schedules & coordinates Interventional Procedures according to the PMD' orders.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists physician during procedures.
  • Does patient assessment and monitoring for pre procedures with documentation

Does patient assessment intra-procedure. Assists Physician during procedure.

  • Provides post clinical patient care and reevaluations as per specific procedure to include documentation and discharge instructions.
  • Coordinates with other members of the healthcare team, the delivery of care for assigned patients.
  • Assist in scheduling Interventional Procedures.
  • Conducts patient education before test performs follow up when necessary.
  • Provides post clinical patient reevaluations as per specific procedure.
  • Act as a resource person to other healthcare personnel on radiology patient care issue.
  • Float to other procedural areas in the hospital which include and not limited to the Interventional Radiology, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Same Day Surgery, and/ or Endoscopy.

Minimum Education/Certifications
Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.ย 

Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of NJ.

Certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association)

Minimum Work Experience
One year Radiology experience preferred.ย 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and provide additional coverage as needed
