The Opportunity:
Hellenic Cables, a subsidiary of Cenergy Holdings with more than 70 years of manufacturing excellence, is expanding its global footprint with a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This advanced operation will produce highly engineered underground power and telecommunications cable products to support growing global infrastructure and energy demand.
As part of this exciting growth, we are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to help establish and grow our commercial presence across the electric utility, EPC, data center, and renewable energy markets. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing global organization and get in on the ground floor, building the territory, customer base, and go-to-market strategy for a brand-new U.S. operation, backed by the resources and reputation of an established global manufacturer.
Role Description
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic business development across the electric utility, EPC, data center, and renewable energy sectors within an assigned territory. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales/Director of Sales, this role develops and executes sales strategies focused on investor-owned utilities (IOUs), electric cooperatives, municipal utilities, national and independent electrical distributors, EPC firms, renewable generation developers, and data center developers.
This position plays a key role in building executive-level relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing complex sales cycles from project identification through award and execution. The Regional Sales Manager will help establish best-in-class commercial practices and drive market penetration across the assigned region.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and market share objectives
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within electric utilities, EPC firms, renewable generation developers, and data center customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, engineers, procurement teams, and executive leadership
  • Drive specification development and project positioning activities to secure preferred supplier status
  • Maintain an active pipeline of transmission, distribution, substation, renewable energy, and data center infrastructure projects
  • Develop territory growth strategies and market penetration plans for existing and emerging markets
  • Manage direct sales efforts with Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), Cooperative Utilities, and Municipal Utilities
  • Support distributor sales growth through strategic partnerships with national electrical distributors and EUDA-affiliated distributors, including joint sales calls, training programs, and business planning activities
  • Establish and grow relationships with EPC firms supporting transmission, substation, renewable generation, battery energy storage, and data center projects
  • Work closely with developers, consulting engineers, and EPC organizations to influence product selection and specifications
  • Negotiate pricing agreements, supply contracts, and long-term strategic partnerships
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, engineering, and operations teams to support customer requirements and business objectives
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, business reviews, and strategic account plans
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, regulatory developments, and industry initiatives
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting, opportunity tracking, and CRM management
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, utility events, and customer meetings
  • Travel up to 50% throughout the assigned region for customer visits, distributor meetings, EPC engagement, project site visits, trade shows, and industry events

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 7 years of successful sales and business development experience within the electric utility, power infrastructure, or energy industries required
  • Demonstrated experience selling products, equipment, or solutions to Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), Electric Cooperatives, Municipal Utilities, and electrical distributors
  • Experience working directly with EPC firms supporting transmission, renewable energy, data center development, and substation and grid infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing strategic customer relationships
  • Strong understanding of utility procurement processes, capital project planning, and specification-driven sales
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and complex project opportunities
  • Prior experience within the wire and cable manufacturing industry strongly preferred
  • Strong strategic selling, business development, and channel partner development skills
  • Demonstrated executive relationship management and contract negotiation skills
  • Market analysis and project pursuit management capabilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales forecasting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time throughout the assigned region
  • Commitment to integrity, accountability, and commercial excellence
  • Ability to adapt to changing market demands, technologies, and business needs

SALARY PAY RANGE: $130,000 - $170,000 plus bonus
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following date of hire, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
