Our client is a premier provider of fresh Alaskan seafood products, offering an exceptional portfolio that includes a wide variety of Salmon (Coho, Sockeye, King, Chum, and Atlantic), Smoked products (Salmon, Mussels, Oysters, Steelhead, and Scallops), Shellfish (Crab, Clams, Mussels, and Oysters), and an extensive selection of fin fish including Halibut, Sole, Rockfish, Snapper, Cod, Sturgeon, and Exotic varieties.
They are seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Representative to grow their presence across Washington and Oregon. This is a critical role for someone ready to leverage an existing book of business and established relationships to expand market share across retail grocery, restaurant, and seafood distribution channels. Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package including employer-paid Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).
Responsibilities
  • Leverage an existing book of business and industry contacts to drive immediate sales growth across the Washington and Oregon region.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with retail grocery accounts, with a focus on small to mid-size specialty retailers such as Thriftway, Ballard Market, Haggen, and similar establishments.
  • Pursue and grow direct restaurant sales and seafood distribution accounts as additional target markets.
  • Monitor fresh product inventory levels and develop strategic sales margins to effectively move product and minimize waste.
  • Prospect and develop new business relationships, converting new accounts to active SKU purchasers.
  • Manage and grow a defined territory while identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of sales experience targeting retail grocery accounts, particularly small to mid-size specialty grocery retailers in Washington and/or Oregon.
  • 2+ years of sales experience working with seafood distributors and/or direct restaurant accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience selling fresh or frozen seafood or perishable food products.
  • 2+ years of proven success in prospecting new business, building lasting client relationships, and driving SKU conversion.
  • Established book of business and/or network of contacts within the regional grocery, restaurant, or seafood distribution sectors.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and margin-based sales strategies for fresh product.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a regional territory effectively.
