  • Develop and maintain relationships with retail grocery accounts, with a focus on small to mid-size specialty retailers such as Thriftway, Ballard Market, Haggen, and similar establishments.
  • Pursue and grow direct restaurant sales and seafood distribution accounts as additional target markets.
  • Monitor fresh product inventory levels and develop strategic sales margins to effectively move product and minimize waste.
  • Prospect and develop new business relationships, converting new accounts to active SKU purchasers.
  • Manage and grow a defined territory while identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of sales experience targeting retail grocery accounts, particularly small to mid-size specialty grocery retailers in Washington and/or Oregon.
  • 2+ years of sales experience working with seafood distributors and/or direct restaurant accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience selling fresh or frozen seafood or perishable food products.
  • 2+ years of proven success in prospecting new business, building lasting client relationships, and driving SKU conversion.
  • Established book of business and/or network of contacts within the regional grocery, restaurant, or seafood distribution sectors.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and margin-based sales strategies for fresh product.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a regional territory effectively.
