JOB PROFILE
QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Working location: Neenah, WI
General Description
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for the quality control inspection, testing and compliance of roll covers being produced out of Neenah, WI and ensures that all Quality Control standards and objectives are met.
JOB RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS
  • Ensures and/or verifies all completed covering, finishing, and compound/mixing work done in-house and all work received from outside vendors meet the quality control standards of the construction of roll covers
  • Provides system documentation of Quality Control procedures with the use of SPI's, ISO documentation, and the Quality Control Review Audits
  • Reviews all internal documentation daily as well as outgoing paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Inspects all rolls prior to shipment to ensure meets Quality Control guidelines
  • Inspects and tests for non-conformance of all manufacturing operations (Internal Reject and R & A)
  • Specifies/reviews Plant Orders, does shop floor feedback in order to maintain an accurate raw material inventory
  • Verifies and signs off on a roll's final approval for shipment
  • Performs the monthly internal Covering and Millroom quality audits
  • Maintains the roll cover SPIs
  • Communicates the Quality Control procedures to all appropriate personnel
  • Reports all Quality Control information, updates, status and issues to Regional Quality Manager and Plant Manager
  • Develops and maintains certification programs for internal training and certification of employees and vendors
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical field preferred and/or 3-5 years of equivalent manufacturing experience in a production environment, with experience in a paper mill preferred.
  • Must have a solid knowledge of formal quality systems such as ISO, QIT, TQM, etc
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Ability to use automated building and equipment controls.
  • Working Conditions: Requires infrequent lifting of moderately heavy objects and occasional lifting of objects 50 pounds and over. Requires hand dexterity for repetitive movements. Requires the ability to work in both a machine shop environment and office setting intermittently
