Description
Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking a Clerk/Receptionist (Danville - Kimball) to join our team. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC's people plan for people.
The Clerk/Receptionist (Danville - Kimball) performs clerical duties as required by our early childhood program. Our culture requires that the Clerk/Receptionist ensures a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment every day and fosters a sense of safety for staff, families, and children.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency (GED)
  • Must have experience with modern office procedures and the ability to use office equipment including computers, multi-line phones, fax machines, photocopiers, and laminating machines
  • Must have proven exemplary dependability attendance record
  • Requires administrative skills including filing, typing and the ability to use a networked computer system with various software programs (WordPerfect/Word/Excel, etc.)
  • Minimum typing speed of 35wpm, 45wpm or more is preferred
  • Requires attention to detail and the ability to perform accurately and efficiently and independently
  • Must present a positive public image and possess excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of Head Start and other agency rules and regulations preferred
  • Must meet all requirements of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
  • Must provide three professional letters of reference including current and previous employers.
