Regional Operations Manager

Location: Eagan, MN

Position Type: Full-Time

Travel: Up to 50%

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities

Position Overview

A well-established, family-owned company with more than 40 years of history is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to join its leadership team. The organization is a regional leader within its industry and has built a strong reputation for exceptional customer service and long-standing relationships with the communities it serves.

Based out of the company's Eagan headquarters, the Regional Operations Manager will oversee multiple branch locations throughout Northern Minnesota. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for branch performance, employee development, driver and delivery operations, fleet oversight, operational efficiency, and customer service.

The Regional Operations Manager will work closely with senior operations leadership and Branch Managers to ensure consistency across locations while identifying opportunities to improve processes, service, and overall regional performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing support to Branch Managers and assigned locations throughout Northern Minnesota.
  • Oversee day-to-day regional operations and ensure consistent operational and customer service standards across multiple branches.
  • Oversee and support driver and delivery operations, including routing, delivery patterns, fleet needs, and service efficiency.
  • Coach and develop Branch Managers and employees to improve leadership capabilities, operational performance, and customer interactions.
  • Assist branches with staffing needs, including hiring, employee performance, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other personnel matters.
  • Analyze operational data and delivery patterns to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service.
  • Prepare and communicate regular operational reports to branch and senior operations leadership.
  • Partner with Branch Managers and senior leadership on vehicle maintenance, fleet needs, and vehicle replacement.
  • Assist with equipment deliveries and other branch operational needs when additional support is required.
  • Maintain service and regulatory compliance across assigned locations, including applicable DOT and other industry requirements.
  • Provide oversight and support for after-hours/on-call operations as needed.
  • Travel between assigned branch locations approximately 50% of the time.
Qualifications
  • Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-location or branch operations is highly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing drivers, delivery teams, transportation, fleet operations, logistics, distribution, field service, or similar operations is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop managers and frontline employees.
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to analyze performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Current state-issued driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • CDL experience or exposure to DOT-regulated operations is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned region.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background and motor vehicle record checks.
