Job description

Job purpose

The Senior Refurbishment Technician is responsible for operating and repairing equipment necessary to repair, polish or upgrade cell phones using established work procedures or creating new procedures if necessary. In addition to the Refurbishment Technician responsibilities the Senior Refurbishment Technician is responsible for training new employees, monitoring process control of new employees, creating and updating Excel worksheets, monitoring output and developing new ideas to become more efficient.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Training and coach new employees
  • Monitoring process control for self and others
  • Creating and updating Excel workbooks
  • Creating Standard Work documentation and/or video’s
  • Developing new ideas to improve output and processes
  • Maintain established cleanliness standards
  • Learn new machine process and assist in development of new machine set-up
  • Maintain inventory control of Refurbishment area
  • Meet customer deadlines and needs
  • Proper use & repair of gluing machines
  • Proper use & repair of polishing machines
  • Monitoring phones and processes to minimize damage
  • Follow standard procedures to maximize output
  • Inspect phones for grade and damage
  • Maintain a clean, organized work place
  • Operate and repair all equipment safely
  • Daily maintenance of equipment
  • Repair machines and equipment with electric motors and controls
  • Diagnose failed equipment and determine appropriate corrective action
  • Other Refurbishment duties as assigned
  • Ability to work over-time is a plus

Working conditions

Refurbishment of cell phone area. Must be able to be “on-your-feet” all day.

Physical requirements

Able to stand for long periods of time doing refurbishment tasks with few breaks. Must be flexible and ability to lift 30 pounds.
