Job description

 
Job Summary
 
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprentice will work side by side with certificated maintenance technicians to assist them with inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, and service of aircraft using test equipment and hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists certificated maintenance technicians in performing routine maintenance and inspections on general aviation aircraft 
  • Ensures proper care of customer property at all phases of maintenance work
  • Continually keeps clean and organized work area including personal tool box
  • Documentation and tracking of on the job training hours needed to meet minimum requirements to qualify for A&P certifications
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • No experience necessary
  • Must be 18 years old with High School Diploma or equivalent
Other Prerequisites
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
 
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Constantly requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes such as bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and turning to pick parts. Must have ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. and 25 lbs. overhead.
