Description

Take-off with Pilatus! We are seeking Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Technicians to support mobile maintenance operations across our service center network in Chamblee, GA (PDK); Rock Hill, SC (UZA); Sarasota, FL (SRQ); and Westminster, MD (DMW). This role is responsible for responding to AOG events, performing independent field maintenance and troubleshooting, and restoring Pilatus aircraft to service in fast-paced, customer-facing environments. This position requires extensive travel, participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and the ability to work independently in remote customer environments. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events on a 24/7 on-call basis, including travel to customer locations to perform field maintenance and return aircraft to service. 
  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities on Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft in field environments. 
  • Independently diagnose aircraft discrepancies, isolate faults, perform corrective maintenance, and support return-to-service activities in time-sensitive situations. 
  • Comply with FAA regulations, approved technical data, repair station procedures, and company safety requirements during all maintenance activities. 
  • Coordinate with maintenance support teams regarding technical findings, operational status, tooling requirements, and parts needs throughout Aircraft on Ground events. 
  • Document maintenance performed, discrepancies identified, corrective actions taken, and parts usage in maintenance records and work orders. 
  • Perform operational checks, functional testing, and ground runs to verify aircraft system functionality and return-to-service readiness. 
  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and mobile maintenance resources in a constant state of operational readiness. 
  • Represent Pilatus professionally during customer interactions and field support activities. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to Aircraft on Ground response operations and field maintenance processes.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or GED required; FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required; Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred. 
  • Ideal candidate has minimum 4 years of progressive aircraft maintenance experience with significant independent troubleshooting, field maintenance, and repair experience on turbine aircraft; Pilatus PC-12 and/or PC-24 experience preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including airframe, engine, avionics, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with return-to-service procedures, FAA regulations, and field maintenance practices. 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, exercise sound technical judgment, troubleshoot independently, and make maintenance decisions in time-sensitive situations with limited direct supervision. 
  • Proficiency with electronic maintenance records, work orders, technical documentation, manufacturer maintenance manuals, and Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Must be willing and able to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events on short notice. Significant travel, overnight stays, extended workdays, irregular schedules, weekends, and holidays are essential functions of this role. 
  • Must successfully complete an initial training program, including approximately 30 days at the UZA Service Center and 30 days at the PDK Service Center. During the training period, technicians will participate in and respond to AOG events alongside experienced team members. 
  • Must reside within the Southeast Region and maintain a primary residence within approximately one hour of a commercial airport to support rapid deployment to AOG events.
  • Strong communication, customer service, decision-making, problem-solving, professionalism, accountability, urgency, and commitment to safety and quality.

The pay range for this position is $40 - $56 per hour depending on experience. Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
