What You'll Do
This hybrid role combines early morning delivery responsibilities with in-kitchen prep support. You'll start your day by delivering fresh sushi products to convenience store locations using a company refrigerated van. After completing deliveries, you'll return to the commissary kitchen at The Artisan Exchange to support ingredient prep for daily production. This is a short-term position (4-6 months) with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a company refrigerated van to deliver fresh sushi products to 5 convenience store locations daily.
  • Begin delivery route around 4:00 AM, ensuring all deliveries are completed on schedule.
  • Follow a structured check-in process at each store, including verifying delivery quantities, restocking displays, rotating product, and removing expired items.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly merchandised displays at each location.
  • Complete required delivery logs and documentation for each stop (inventory, waste, temperature checks).
  • Adhere to all food safety, temperature control, and transportation guidelines.
  • Communicate any store issues, low inventory, or merchandising concerns to management.
  • Return to commissary kitchen after deliveries to assist with daily food prep.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables; assist with rice preparation and ingredient staging.
  • Follow HACCP, FDA, and internal food safety protocols.
  • Complete prep logs (temperature, labeling, FIFO rotation).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep and storage areas.
  • Assist with kitchen setup for production shift.

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate a refrigerated delivery van in early morning hours.
  • Experience in delivery driving, food service, or kitchen prep.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working early mornings (starting ~4:00 AM).
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
