Thermal Specialties is looking for aField Services Mangerfor ourConstruction Servicesdivision in Fort Worth, Texas.


Thermal Specialties is a family owned custom manufacturer and service organization. We provide comprehensive solutions to meet our customer's needs. From next-generation industrial furnace systems and heat-treating capabilities to refractory installation and repair and insulation materials, Thermal Specialties is the single-source provider for high-temperature thermal processing applications.


Purpose:

Work with Construction Services peers to effectively execute projects. Provide expert knowledge in combustion systems to engineering/estimator on new projects. Work with estimator to establish project budgets and work to attain. Work to provide minimum downtime to our customers.


Knowledge and Skills:

5 plus years of experience in control systems (combustion systems preferred). Ability to work closely with engineering to assist in project bidding/design/improvement activities. Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify workable solutions. Ability to interface one-on-one with customers to provide solutions and positive relationships.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Safety: Work in a safe manner, making sure that all necessary precautions ar taken. Maintain diligence in enforcing safety requirements throughout the organization.
  • Field performance: Meet or exceed customer requirements for projects. Work with engineering and management to provide feedback when opportunities for improvement arise.
  • Cost: Each job should attain a minimum of 40% GP. Push to meet these goals. Provide feedback to engineer/estimator when goals are not believed to be attainable. Provide feedback on lessons learned when goals are missed. Work with customers to insure additional work is properly accounted for on invoices.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Provide a preventative maintenance program to insure requirements of heat treat quality system are met. Insure that all equipment is properly and consistently maintained in a pro-active manner.
  • Maintain customer relationships with key customers:Make sales calls in person, via phone, or e-mail as necessary to insure close relationships with key accounts.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • 25% travel to be expected(in and out of state)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme high/low temperatures and a physically demanding environment.
  • Frequently required to stand for long periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This is a safety sensitive position
