A Refinery Turnaround CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) Inspector is responsible for overseeing and inspecting welding activities during scheduled maintenance shutdowns, known as turnarounds, in oil refineries. Their primary role is to ensure that all welding work complies with industry codes, safety standards, and project specifications. They inspect welds for quality, document findings, and often coordinate with engineers, contractors, and safety personnel to address any issues. This position is critical for maintaining the structural integrity and safety of refinery equipment during and after the turnaround process.
