Job description

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Superintendent to lead our maintenance and instrumentation operations in Sergeant Bluff, IA. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys mentoring people, solving problems, and keeping equipment and facilities running safely and efficiently. What You’ll Do

As Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll oversee daily maintenance operations while supporting a safe, organized, and productive facility.

  • Lead and supervise daily maintenance department activities, including training, scheduling, work methods, and performance management
  • Assign and track work orders; ensure accurate documentation and timely completion
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment to ensure reliable operation
  • Manage warehouse inventory, including purchase orders for parts and supplies
  • Utilize the INFOR system to enter, track, and update work orders and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Participate on the Process Safety Management (PSM) Mechanical Integrity Team to promote safety and continuous improvement
  • Prepare reports such as maintenance summaries, timesheets, and incident reports
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to support plant goals
  • Attend company meetings and perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Technical school or college degree preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 2+ years of maintenance and supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience: Soy processing or similar industrial processing experience is a plus
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate industrial machinery, hand tools, and power tools
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; AutoCAD experience preferred
