City : Emporia State : Kansas (US-KS) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number: 45977 A Day in the Life This position is responsible for conducting commercial and trading activities associated with grain origination and marketing for a grain elevator or soybean processing facility.What You'll Be Doing Communication with farmers and elevator customers to originate grain and provide customer service Service farmer customers in areas of market information, e-business, bids, hours, grade reporting and accounting issues in a proactive manner that exceeds expectations and builds strong relationships Communication with feed mills, livestock producers, brokers, and other buyers in marketing soybeans meal and soyhull pellets Create and communication load order numbers for product loading to customers and internal groups Facilitate and assist in the communication and exchange of business information and market conditions between local and corporate management in a timely and accurate manner Evaluation and report changing crop and market conditions to appropriate company personnel in a timely and accurate manner Verify overnight markets to protect bid, ensuring merchants are updated Check local competition and elevator bid structure ensuring Bunge is competitive Ensure compliance with contracts Update bid sheet daily and distribute internally and externally Attend all safety meetings Skills/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture Economics or relevant discipline 3-5 years of relevant experience. Prior experience within the agribusiness and/or food industry preferred.
