Qualifications:
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:
Education:
GS-13 & GS-14:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
OR
Experience:
GS-13 & GS-14:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
GS-13:
- Experience executing tactical operations as a leader of a crisis management team or specialized security detail, to include high-risk escorts or other coordinated tactical responses.
- Experience applying established security principles, concepts, and methods to carry out assigned duties, such as conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with updated security procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Experience in operational planning and resource coordination for security movements including personnel scheduling, equipment procurement, and transportation logistics for secure transport.
GS-14:
- Experience planning and coordinating all aspects of personnel, communications security, and physical security, to include conducting high risk escorts, and orchestrating and participating in principle protection details.
- Experience interpreting and applying practical security principles, concepts, and methods in carrying out assignments, and communicating with the public while doing so.
- Experience in planning and executing crisis management team training, conducting mock exercises, and leading agency Special Operations Response Teams, Disturbance Control Teams, or equivalent.
If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
